Education podcast: how to create educational podcasts for learning and engagement

Updated on April 27, 2013

Podcasting and its use for teaching and learning

The Wikipedia article on podcasting and its use in learning highlights the benefits of education podcasts. The key benefit of educational podcasting is that it makes educational material available to people via their own entertainment devices such as iPods and MP3 players as well as via web pages and iTunes. You can listen to a podcast (audio) or view a vodcast (video). Educational podcasts make education mobile and ubiquitous through the use of RSS feeds. Podcasts are used in education as a form of audio blog and their use has expanded rapidly with some universities providing lectures via podcasts on iTunes.
